Modjeski and Masters announces the promotion of Jonathan Gerhart, PE, to Director of Electrical Engineering. With more than 25 years of experience, which includes the inspection, evaluation, and design of electrical systems for movable and fixed bridges, Jon brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership to this role. Throughout his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in many of the firm’s most complex and high-profile movable bridge projects, including the Fore River Bridge Replacement in Massachusetts, the Onslow Beach Bridge Replacement in North Carolina, and the I-Street Bridge in California, among others. Decorative lighting projects under his leadership, such as the Wurts Street Bridge Rehabilitation in New York, and the Crescent City Connection in Louisiana, have won numerous awards and national recognition.
As Director of Electrical Engineering, Jon will lead a team responsible for advancing the reliability, safety, and innovation of electrical systems across the firm’s diverse portfolio. His responsibilities will include overseeing electrical design teams, developing repair recommendations, providing construction support, and guiding the next generation of engineers.
