M&M Projects Named No. 5 and No. 10 by Roads & Bridges

MECHANICSBURG, PA | Two Modjeski and Masters bridge projects were selected as Top 10 Bridge Projects by Roads & Bridges magazine on their Top 10 Bridge list of 2024.

The Wurts Street Bridge rehabilitation project in Kingston, NY was named the number five bridge project.

This project involved the comprehensive rehabilitation of the 100-year old Wurts Street Suspension Bridge. The bridge has served the Kingston community for over 100 years and this rehabilitation project will allow the structure to continue in that role for many years to come.

The Montgomery Avenue Bridge replacement project in Philadelphia, PA was named the number 10 bridge project.

Through an open-end contract with the City of Philadelphia Department of Streets, Modjeski and Masters performed final design services for the replacement of the existing 5-span Montgomery Avenue Bridge. The bridge carries two lanes of traffic and two sidewalks over five railroad tracks. The replacement bridge is a seven girder, 126-foot-long single span replacement bridge on a 50-degree skew.

Roads & Bridges' Top 10 Bridge awards recognize the top projects in North America for that year. Roads & Bridges' editorial staff the Top 10 list based on project challenges, impact to region, and scope of work.
