PHILADELPHIA, PA | Modjeski and Masters is pleased to announce that Rick Martino, PE, of M&M’s Philadelphia office has received the 2021 “Structural Engineer of the Year Award” from the American Society of Civil Engineers-Philadelphia section.
“I’m truly humbled by an award like this, as I know that many of my peers and teaming partners in the region are also, if not more, deserving of such an honor,” said Martino. “I am grateful for the nomination and selection of this award, and I look forward to continuing positive working relationships with my staff, colleagues and clients around the Philadelphia region.”
Martino has been with Modjeski and Masters for 40 years and serves as a senior project manager and Delaware Valley Regional Director. He joined the firm in 1981 after earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University. He is registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
In addition to being an active member of ASCE, Martino is a member of NSPE, ACEC-NJ, ACEC-PA (Eastern Chapter) and Heavy Movable Structures. He serves as chairperson of the Alternative Delivery Methods (ADM) Committee of ACEC-NJ.
Martino has led efforts on projects such as the Paulsboro Bridge Replacement and HX Drawbridge Replacement and served as technical advisor and quality assurance manager on the MLK Boulevard rehabilitation, Grays Ferry Avenue Bridge rehabilitation, and the Montgomery Avenue Bridge replacement.
