Shawn Throne Promoted to Project Manager

Modjeski and Masters is pleased to announce Shawn Throne, PE was recently promoted to project manager in the Pennsylvania Business Unit. Shawn joined M&M in 2008, and his experience includes design, inspection, load rating analysis, and rehabilitation of highway bridges including steel multi-girder, steel truss and concrete arch bridges.
“This is the start to the next chapter of my career. I look forward to taking the reins as a project manager, leader, mentor, and business developer. I am honored to be among past and current M&M project managers,” stated Shawn.
Shawn has contributed to many notable projects, including:
- SR 115 over I-81 Interchange Reconstruction
- Ambassador Bridge Steel Repairs & Deck Replacement
- Market Street Arch Bridge Rehab & Deck Replacement
- Portageville Bridge Replacement
"Shawn brings over 15 years of design and inspection experience to the Pennsylvania Business Unit. He has been increasingly utilized to pursue new agreements, and we look forward to his continued focus on winning and delivering projects in central Pennsylvania," said Chris Smith, Pennsylvania Business Unit Director.
Shawn earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Villanova University and received his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. He is licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania.
